A shot I took of McFlurry in March 2009 right after we brought her home. Stylized today as a watercolor painting -- best viewed at X3Large. She's finally allowing us to pet her, ever so briefly!

Meet Milton, one of the silkiest kittens ever. If you view this in X3, you'll notice the fur on his face around his nose, eyes, and mouth is sharply defined; but everything else is just a blur -- and this isn't a camera trick -- he really is that fluffy!

Morris, another one of the little orange & white fluff balls from Friday night's get-together.

Maddy and Morris

It's been a long while since I've photographed kittens. Tonight was our cat rescue group's monthly Girl's Night Out, this time at the founder's house. She's fostering four adorable orange & white fluff balls, including Maddy and Morris pictured here. Check out the tongue on Morris, the kitten on the right. :-)

Second daily for today. Here we have Maggie again, but this time, at the request of my customer, I included her adorably curled back feet.

Here's the original photo taken by my customer:

Best viewed at X3.

P.S. -- Downloaded Nik Color Efex 3.0 trial version today and wow! I'll have to save up my pennies, but it will get constant use once it's all mine. :-)

Girls' Night Out!

Our cat rescue group tries to get together once a month for Girls' Night Out. Last night we were at Olive Garden and our server was kind enough to take this photo of all of us so I could be in the shot, too (that's me on the far right in the green sweater and pink kitty mask). :-)

Hope everyone has a fun and *safe* Halloween! We'll be on the road, heading down to Charlotte, NC for a concert which takes place Sunday night. Home late Monday, so might not be posting again until next week.

Taken more than a year ago, but processed today as a painterly style image. This is Marco Polo, adopted by John (300M) and family, along with Miss Petunia (now known as Mittens).

Thank you for all the comments on my booth photo from yesterday. The show was a lot of fun! Good thing, too, because I have two more of them coming up shortly. Have learned so much and hope to put those lessons into practice in two weeks when I'll be participating in the Richmond Craftsmen's Christmas Classic Arts & Crafts show the weekend of November 6th-8th!

One more variation of McFlurry, this time in a sepia pen & ink style. Of the 3, I think I prefer the painting and sepia. What about y'all?

We returned today from Northern Virginia and have been bone-tired ever since. I hope to get back to commenting on the Dailies soon; in the meantime, I've given thumbs-up as often as time allows.
