It's been awhile since I posted a picture of Mama San, the beautiful Snowshoe Siamese who led Mark and me to become safehousers for a local cat rescue group. After being in our care since July 9th, she's only just now hesitantly allowing us to pet her. We plan to keep her permanently.

Best viewed at largest size - her fur and eyes are so gorgeous. And I love how her tail curls upward in this shot.

Thank you for your well-wishes yesterday. The fever is finally down but not gone. Stubborn old thing...and now I have other symptoms which weren't apparent earlier.

P.S. -- Bill, I have Noiseware Professional. I just forget to use it! Thanks for the reminder.

"What do you think of my new hat?"

Petunia finds she sleeps most soundly while on top of Mama's head. Mama has incredible patience with all of her babies.

Meet Mama-san, who's now given birth to a total of 10 kittens in less than 4 months' time. Good thing we were able to catch her yesterday. Once her 6 new little ones are old enough to eat on their own, she'll be taken to the SPCA for spaying and then we'll see about putting her up for adoption.

At some point soon, I'll be attempting photographs of the kittens, who are all of a week old. They're so very tiny!

By the way, the white along the bottom of her face is how the picture turned out! It seemed rather mystical, like Siamese can be. Sorry for all the grain. My Canon S5 IS doesn't do well with more than about 200 ISO.
